This was once the New Inn pub.

One of these houses was the home of Mr and Mrs Potter and daughter Eileen.
He was the owner of Potters Buses, before, during and after World War 2. His main bus served many villages in the area, taking shoppers into Midhurst and back. It was a regular service, with a very, very busy schedule. Of course, he supplied a service for Stedham Football and Cricket X1's, and other outings.
