¾ inch gas main ruptured and involved in fire - approx 12m of trench alight - fire allowed to burn under supervision of Southern Gas Board - electrical supply in trench isolated by UK Networks - area cordoned off by WSF&RS and safety cordon set up - 1 covering HR and 2 fixed HRs used by WSF&RS - nearby premises evacuated by police - gas supply to adjacent premise isolated - gas pressure to main reduced by Southern Gas Board allowing fire to be extinguished safely

Incident: FIRE
fire alarm sounding - 50% of ground floor and roof of bungalow severely damaged by fire - remainder of building damaged by heat and smoke - neighbouring bungalow 15% of ground floor and roof damaged by fire - 10% of building damaged by smoke - 2 adult occupiers with minor smoke inhalation taken to hospital by ambulance - one firefighter was taken to hospital for a precautionary check up as a small part of the collapsed ceiling fell down on to him - 6BA, 3HRs used by WSF&RS - accidental - cause of fire believed to be electrical

involving one house - fire believed to have started in an unattended garden brazier - shed and section of fencing destroyed by fire - house well alight on arrival of WSF&RS - fire affected ground floor 1st floor and roof of house - all approx 90% damaged by fire - 2 dogs rescued by neighbour - slight smoke and heat damage to neighbouring house - 6BA, aerial ladder platform, ladder and 6HRS used by WSF&RS - Red Cross support Unit in attendance - fire crews did extremely well to confine the fire to one house - all the surrounding houses were checked following the incident and smoke detectors were fitted if needed
